                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSING OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE RIVERVIEW
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   SATURDAY, MAY 2, 1992 FROM 7:30 A.M. TO
                   10:00 A.M. FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE "1992
                   CHATTANOOGA CHASE" UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF
                   THE CHATTANOOGA TRACK CLUB, UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Riverview Avenue from Barton Avenue to
       Riverview Road, the temporary closing of the southbound traffic
       lane of Dorchester Street from Riverview Road to Concord Street,
       the temporary closing of the eastbound traffic lane of Concord
       Street from Dorchester Street to North Avenue, the temporary
       closing of the northbound traffic lane of North Avenue from
       Concord Street to Devonshire Street, the temporary closing of the 

       westbound traffic lane of Devonshire Street from North Avenue to
       Dorchester Street, the temporary closing of the northbound 
traffic
       lane of Dorchester Street from Devonshire Street to Riverview
       Road, the temporary closing of the northbound and westbound
       traffic lane of Riverview Road from Dorchester Street to Falmouth 

       Street, the temporary closing of the northbound traffic lane of
       Falmouth Street from Riverview Road to Minnekahda Drive, the
       temporary closing of the northbound traffic lane of Sunset Road
       from Minnekahda Drive to Shady Circle, the temporary closing of
       the northbound and westbound traffic lane of Woodhill Drive from
       Sunset Road to Hixson Pike, the temporary closing of the
       northbound traffic lane closest to the east curb of Hixson Pike
       from Woodhill Drive to Minnekahda Drive, the temporary closing of 

       the eastbound and southbound traffic lane of Minnekahda Drive 
from
       Hixson Pike to Edgewood Circle, the temporary closing of the
       eastbound and southbound traffic lane of Edgewood Circle from
       Minnekahda Drive to Winding Way, the temporary closing of the
       southbound traffic lane of Minnekahda Drive from Edgewood Circle
       to Falmouth Street, the temporary closing of the southbound
       traffic lane of Falmouth Street between Sunset Road and Riverview 

       Road, and the temporary closing of the southbound and eastbound
       lane of Riverview Road from Falmouth Street to Dorchester Street
       on Saturday, May 2, 1992, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for the
       presentation of the "1992 Chattanooga Chase" under the 
sponsorship
       of the Chattanooga Track Club, provided that the sponsor provides 

       an access lane at all times on all streets for fire and other
       emergency vehicles and provided that the sponsor installs and
       removes barricades, traffic cones, road closed and detour signs 
in
       accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto.
